My favorite saying is “Spread kindness like confetti.”, because I enjoy helping
individuals feel seen, heard, and supported through life’s ups and downs. Being able to walk alongside people during that process is one of the most meaningful parts of my work. I know reaching out for help can feel uncomfortable or even scary. My hope for you is that therapy provides you with a reliable space where you feel understood, empowered, and encouraged.
I will provide you with a supportive and calm environment that model effective
communication and expression. We will work towards developing deeper insight into the challenges you are experiencing and learning how to manage them through coping skills. I utilize evidence-based therapy like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness practices. These practices work well with individuals experiencing challenges such as; anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and substance abuse concerns.
Sessions are a time to focus on yourself, free from the distractions and responsibilities of everyday life. Together, we can work towards developing coping skills and insight into the challenges you are experiencing. Over time, this can help you feel confident in your ability to navigate obstacles later in life. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out to explore how we can bring meaningful change into your everyday life.
Favorite Books
The truth is that I have many favorite books. The books I enjoy the most are stories that I can get caught up in it and often struggle to put it down. This can range from a classic romance like Pride and Prejudice to a thrilling mystery. I also enjoy historical fiction from from time to time.
While the Crayons Book of Feelings is intended for children, I think it is a great book for anyone open to exploring their own emotional experiences. It is not uncommon for us to push down emotions we feel throughout the day because we’re busy or they’re uncomfortable. You may find that this simple read draws attention to emotions you experience often, or to some you didn’t realize were popping up in your life
Hobbies
Outside of therapy, you can find me reading or looking for new growth on my house plants. I enjoy being outside with family, frequenting parks and playgrounds. Baking has been a hobby of mine since I was young and has continued to bring joy and curiosity into my life.
Funny Story
I showed up to an appointment fifteen minutes early, feeling organized, only to discover it was actually scheduled for the following day. While it wasn’t my proudest moment, it highlighted the importance of double-checking my calendar.
