Do you ever feel misunderstood or misdiagnosed? Do you notice that you are masking or feeling dysregulated? I am a firm believer that the mind and heart can heal. Through our work together, you will leave feeling empowered to embrace your true self and learn to function and cope in a way you feel healthiest.
I specialize in working with neurodivergent adults. My experience allows me to offer ample support with interoception, nervous system regulation, psychoeducation on neurodiversity, and the development of neurodivergent-affirming skills across all areas of life. I lead with a soft heart and kind approach, and am open to feedback and curiosity, as therapy is a two way street! My approach to therapy is pretty eclectic, pulling from all different types of evidence-based interventions, including humor. Above all, I offer a person-centered approach and will work diligently with each client to provide the treatment and interventions that suit them best.
I look forward to meeting with you and the privilege of getting to know all the things that make you you. I know and understand just how important it is to work with a therapist who you feel really sees you and who will empower you to reach your goals. Let’s start that together. Call, email, or text to schedule today!
Favorite Books
- My favorite book is The Giver, by Lois Lowry. For those who haven’t read it, it’s about a young man living in a utopian society, who learns the burden of being human, including all of the joy and pain and everything in between. And while I am being purposefully vague in that description, it’s only because it is absolutely worth the full read!
Hobbies
- Playing with my cats (Spock and Data), listening to music and audiobooks (epic fantasies are my favorite), writing fan-fiction, pilates, building lego flower sets, and playing Animal Crossing.
Funny Story
- This is more of a fun-fact than a funny story, but I named the couch in my living room “Party Couch,” and my cats and I, along with Party Couch, hold a town hall meeting once a month on the full moon. During this meeting we air grievances and propose household change. Mostly my cats demand an increase in treats and cuddles to which I always oblige despite Party Couch’s objections. Also, Party Couch is named that because it pulls out into a queen-sized bed for guests, which is a very cool party trick.
